Love God, Love Neighbor
At Broadneck, we believe faith is not just something that lives in your head or even in your heart. Our faith lives in our hands and feet as we extend God's love to those around us--to neighbors near and far.

Looking for ways to serve those who live next door to you, those who live forgotten in our community, and fellow children of God across the world? Join us at Broadneck as we learn to love God and neighbor through our actions. Click on the links below to learn more!
Winter Relief
Jan 6-13, 2025
For 20 years, this program has provided emergency shelter in the winter months for those experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County, housing them in churches where they can receive hot meals and a place to sleep out of the cold. As the program has expanded into the Annapolis area, Broadneck has co-hosted a week of Winter Relief for the past decade with Cape St. Claire United Methodist, making space in our facilities to provide hospitality and care to about 25 men and women. Our next week to host will be in January 6-13, 2025!
My Brother's Pantry
Located in Arnold on College Parkway, My Brother's Pantry provides well-balanced, non-perishable food every month to those on the Broadneck Peninsula who need a little extra help making ends meet. Volunteers from area congregations help clients shop for what their households need over the course of three days each month. Broadneck also collects food for My Brother’s Pantry all through the year. Our month for 2025 is April.
A.C.T.
Anne Arundel Connecting Together is a non-partisan multi-faith-based "organization of organizations" working together to build community power so that people's voices are represented, and solutions presented, at the places where decisions are made. This group diverse in faith (Muslim, Jewish, and all sorts of Christian groups are currently involved), race, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, political persuasion is taking concrete action to make our county a better place for ALL. Areas the group currently focuses on include mental health and addictions, affordable housing, effective and engaged education, gun violence, and job training and support for returning citizens post-incarceration.
Community Connections
Broadneck is connected in work for justice as well as care for the environment throughout our community. We were proud to be part of the first-ever Annapolis Pride Parade in June 2019, and are excited to participate every year, breaking stereotypes of what Baptist Churches are all about! We also participate in A4, an alliance of affirming churches in our county.

During the Pandemic we began to nurture a partnership with Goshen Farm, our neighbors who are committed to creation care and connecting with the land right in the midst of our community.
Cape Events
Broadneck is committed to practicing hospitality and building relationships in the Cape St. Claire community through events like a regular Halloween Open House held in conjunction with the Cape Shopping Center Trick-or-Treat night, as well as offering children’s activities every year at the Cape St. Claire Strawberry Festival. We have also offered community fellowship time through ice cream parties or build-a-taco nights, or even a block party complete with jazz music!
