For the last 20 years, Broadneck has joined with other churches spending a week in the summer (usually the last week in July/first week in August) in the West Virginia town of Belington, where we join together with community members to do home repair and nurture the community's children. The unique part of this trip is that entire families participate, with people on the trip ranging from toddlers to senior adults!
We have partnered on multiple occasions to buy school uniforms, dig wells, and support the nutrition and health needs of the Kutenda Children's Home.
Kutenda is a loving home for orphaned and vulnerable children located in Masembura, in rural northeastern Zimbabwe. Kutenda is currently home to 24 children who have lost both parents to AIDS.
