Jesus' said that the greatest commandment is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength."  Mark12:30 

Worship at Broadneck Baptist grows out of our desire to express our love for God.  Because we believe the congregation as a whole is worshipping God, not watching the worship of God, our members are our worship leaders - leading prayers and reading scripture.  Children and youth are included as worship leaders as early as they are ready and express an interest. 

We invite people to come to worship as themselves. So some people dress up, some people wear jeans. We know God sees our hearts, not our clothing. 

Worship is planned by a voluntary group of church members called the Worship Ministry Group. We use a calendar of scriptures called a lectionary to provide guidance to our planning. We try to include music and prayers that meet a variety of generational and personality styles. The Worship Ministry Group regularly ask the rest of the congregation to provide feedback and suggestions for worship.
